Mila loved to paint. She captured the spirit of what she painted. Mila came out rain and shine, in ice or broiling sun. We painted along side each other for years. I watched Mila soar with her art . I admired her persistence and her love of art. Wish I had been able to tell her this . Covid has isolated us so much. Condolences to her family l. Mila was a lovely and positive person. She will be missed.
It was very sad to hear of the passing of Mila.
I enjoyed painting with Mila for many years in various locations around Burlington, Hamilton, and area.
She loved to paint trees, and I always enjoyed the way she interpreted them in paint.
I’m so very sorry to hear of Mila’s passing. She was a beautiful person and always so friendly. I painted with her for many years and always enjoyed seeing her work, I loved the way she painted trees. They always looked like you could have a conversation with them.
Mila was also an important part of the Auction Installation Committee at Dundas valley School of Art and I was looking forward to working with her again this year. She will be sadly missed there.
My sincere condolences to Mila’s family of whom I know she was very proud.
I am very sorry to hear of Mila’s passing. She was a hard core plein air painter who braved the elements and painted in all four seasons. I will miss her lovely smile, down to earth nature and conversations about art. I remember how she enjoyed painting on the overpass bridge during the 150 Canada celebrations. My sincere condolences to her family.
Our deepest condolences from all of us at Dundas Valley School of Art. Mila was a tireless volunteer on the Art Auction installation crew, helping to hang the artwork each year. She will be greatly missed by all her friends here, especially the Monday group painters who enjoyed her artistry and warm company.
My heartfelt condolences to Mila’s family. I was not only a fellow painter but also her compatriot, we both immigrated to Canada from the same country, and maybe that made us fast friends. I admired her dedication to her art, and to the arts in general, her enthusiasm in volunteering at the DVSA, and general approach to life. Lovely to have met her.
We are grateful to have experienced the beauty of Mila Prosek’s artworks. Mila, you have enriched this world by your presence, tenderness, good heart and your artwork. We will always love you. You will remain in our hearts forever. We miss you very much. Your brother and Wendy.
